Visit Portovenere – Gateway to the Cinque Terre
Your day begins with a visit to the charming seaside village of Portovenere, often called the gateway to the Cinque Terre National Park.
Located on the western edge of the Gulf of La Spezia, also known as the romantic “Gulf of Poets,” Portovenere is famous for its colorful houses, dramatic cliffs, medieval charm, and peaceful atmosphere.
Portovenere—together with the nearby islands of Palmaria, Tino, and Tinetto—was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. Despite being the smallest municipality in the Liguria region, it is considered one of the most beautiful.
