Your journey begins with a scenic drive from the Port of Livorno, heading south toward the entrance of Upper Maremma, a rugged yet gentle inland area along the ancient Etruscan Coast. This fertile wine region is characterized by endless vineyards, umbrella pine trees, and centuries-old cypress trees that create a truly iconic Tuscan landscape.
Your experience starts with a visit to a renowned wine estate, including a guided cellar tour and wine tasting. Next, you will travel along the breathtaking Viale dei Cipressi of San Guido, a stunning 5-kilometer cypress-lined avenue considered an open-air national monument, leading you to the medieval hamlet of Bolgheri—a small village of immense prestige in the global wine world.
In Bolgheri, you will enjoy a delicious traditional Tuscan lunch and have free time to explore the historic town center. Once home to Nobel Prize–winning poet Giosuè Carducci, Bolgheri is now the heart of this prestigious wine region and the birthplace of world-famous Bordeaux-style Tuscan wines such as Sassicaia, Ornellaia, and Guado al Tasso, among others.
Wine tasting continues in the afternoon with a visit to another selected Bolgheri wine producer, ensuring a full and immersive wine experience. On the return journey to Livorno, we will stop for authentic Italian gelato. Arrival back at the port is scheduled for approximately 5:00–5:30 PM.
